Family Pictures at Papago Park

We had our family pictures taken by my friend Sam at Papago Park this year! Lily is usually so happy but she was not happy to have her pictures taken so I am amazed that Sam got so many pics of her not looking like she was crying! Almost the only time she was happy was when she was stuffing bread in her mouth (we had some in our diaper bag & she loves homemade bread more than anything) or holding these bright colored keys in her hands. After taking pictures for almost an hour, we decided to have dinner at Phoenix Public Market & Lily was completely happy the whole time.

Thought it was a little stressful, my sisters reminded me that it will be funny to look back on the pictures of her with bread crumbs all over her face, haha! One year we had taken family pictures & Ally had this creepy look in her eyes where she had her head down but her eyes were looking up. My parents didn't end up buying that one but I wish they had because we all remember it & how funny it was!!!

Here are some of the pictures!!

& now for some funny pictures...

Trying to escape

Why are you doing this to me?

Stuffing bread in the face

I have them wrapped around my finger, crying equals get more bread

The precious keys

Just a little angel until someone tries to take those keys away

Life Lately

Lily is so cute & it has been so fun to see her personality really coming out! Here are some things I want to remember about this stage:

-Every morning she wakes up at about 6 & we bring her into bed where I feed her & then she cuddles with Nate & I. She is so cute & will just go back & forth cuddling on each of us. I love it! Lately she will put her little head on mine or Nate's & move her head back & forth to nuzzle, so sweet! She has also been giving big open mouth kisses on our cheeks, very spitty but so cute!
-When she is in the stroller or her highchair she loves to kick her little foot up on a ledge.
-She loves whenever Nate gets home, she hears the door open & does these high pitched squeals & crawls down the hallway to him.
-When she is putting toys or something in her mouth, I'll say, "can momma have some?" & pretend to eat whatever it & she laughs so hard.
-She loves having Nate walk her around & having me chase her or play peekaboo, another things that makes her laugh hard!
-She has been walking with a little walker lately & is pretty fast with it!
-She puts little blankets over her face & pulls them down to play peekaboo.
-She loves Nate's homemade bread that he makes. If she sees me pull it out of the fridge she will squeal until she gets some! She loves going to see the ducks at the duck pond & I will get a little bread out to feed them but always have to make sure Lily has plenty of bread too!
-She has a mischievous streak (from Nate I'm sure) & she will crawled to play with something she's not supposed to or put a book in her mouth she will have this sneaky look in her eyes & then do a big squeal when we say her name or finding her doing one of those things!

We love our little Lily & all the joy she brings into our lives!

Here are just some randoms pics from lately.

Halloween 2019

This was our first year dressing up Lily for Halloween since she was only a few weeks old last Halloween! I made her a little swan costume & she was so cute it in! Holidays are so much fun with a little baby! We took her to our ward trunk or treat & she loved watching all of the other kids & sitting on my lap to help hand out candy!

The day before Halloween I took Lily to story time at the library & they said to have the kids dress up. I put her in her costume & it was a little bit hectic because it started shedding feathers. I was wearing black pants that were soon covered in feathers, haha! It was so cute to see all the kids all dressed up & crawling around playing! There was one older girl in a chicken suit that Lily sat by & just kept touching the feathers for a few minutes. It was so cute seeing the 2 little birds sitting together.

Family Halloween Dinner on Sunday

On Halloween evening we went to Brittany & Matt's house. Brittany made chicken pot pie & we brought roasted acorn squash, apple cider, & homemade pumpkin pie! We had dinner, handed out candy to trick or treaters, & then watched a scary movie that freaked us all out! It was such a fun Halloween! I am so excited for next year, when Lily will be old enough to trick or treat!!
