This labor day weekend was so much fun. Melissa, Sam, & Jenna came down from Friday night to Monday afternoon. Mom, Brooke, Britt, & I decided to throw Melis a baby shower so we rushed to get everything planned & ready. It was fun to plan and turned out good! We didn't have a theme, but just decorated everything with blue, white, & gold. Brooke arranged white flowers in blue mason jars & we all brought all of our white dishes. I made macarons, which didn't turn out as good as I would have liked, & a cheeseboard with lots of cheeses, artisan bread, crackers, & fruit. It was really fun being able to celebrate with Melissa.

While we had the shower, the guys went to the batting cages, Uncle Sam's, & then to the BYU football game in Glendale. After the shower, the girls headed to the mall so Jenna could ride on these big, freaky looking animal things that are motorized. She took each person on a ride & crashed into a pillar when Brooke was on, haha!!! Then we went to Cheesecake Factory!

On Sunday, we went to church & then went to mom's to spend time with everyone. We relaxed, talked, & had dinner all together. Dad smoked lots of different kinds of meat & it was amazing as always! The weather was perfect so we sat outside on the grass with the kids and animals all running around. Melis & Sam had their puppy, Lulu, we had Blitzen, & Britt had her bunny, Baxter. Nate kept wanting to have Blitzen & Baxter "introduced" to each other but Britt was not having it!!

On Monday we had a big breakfast at Brooke's to celebrate Rhett's birthday, which was in a few days. We ate, swam, did races in the pool, & then sadly said goodbye to Melis, Sam, & Jenna.

Even though it was short, it was such a fun weekend!
